This is a new design for the Ihama family.  Using the lost wax method this piece is cast one piece of art at a time.  This painstaking process is centuries old having been practiced by the royal bronze casters since at least the 1400s. 

This simple vase stands 8 inches tall, and the detail work is all done by hand by one of the Ihama family artists.  Weighing just under a pound, the sturdy yet delicate piece is a wonderful decoration, or a functional brass vase that will last for generations.
